I've been coming up to this part of Maine for about 3 years now and just ventured into Shaw's. Very friendly, clean, with a great view. We had the calamari, seafood casserole, and lobster rolls and they were all delicious and competitively priced.
Great location. We had a couple of beers and the peel and eat shrimp appetizer. Local brew was great. Scenery is awesome. The shrimp was ice cold but just OK. We may try it for dinner and see how it goes.
This hidden gem provides some of the best local seafood in the area, especially when it comes to lobster and clams. They also provide plenty of options for those who don't love seafood (like the steak bomb or cheeseburger) in a "take your order, call your number" type operation. All of this is very reasonably priced, while looking over a pristine working Maine harbor. With the views and food and atmosphere all combined, it is perhaps my favorite restaurant in the world.
The people and ambiance make this place. When we went there was live music that really added to the fun of being at a local dive spot. Was told the lobster was good, albeit small. Non-fish options limited, but the onion rings are great.
Fresh, fresh, fresh! Best coleslaw I had in Maine! Loser was so good. Beautiful setting!
